Summer & Autumn 2018

In this series we celebrate the flavours of the world in our summer and autumn cooking.

Summer is about getting together with family and friends to share delicious food in a relaxed and fun setting. In our summer classes we teach you exciting flavours and techniques from Spanish, French and Asian cooking to add to your summer repertoire. Dishes that you will crave to share with others!

Autumn in Canberra is glistening. The days are warm, the evenings more cool, and the produce is abundant. We finish the series with two classes that play with this beautiful end-of-summer produce in ways true to two regions in southern Europe, first, in French provincial cooking and, second, in Tuscan cooking.

This series is on Monday evenings, 6.30-8.30 pm. The classes take place at the Foodish Cooking School at the Belconnen Fresh Food Markets and are $95 each. 

Cook and eat wonderful food in these classes, sip on a glass of wine, and make new friends as you connect through cooking.

In this class you'll make Mexican from scratch--colourful, fresh salsas and authentic burritos using spice combinations prepared in the class. Sip on a margarita, munch on a decadent churros or two and begin your Mexican cooking adventures!

When you combine fresh Tuscan pici with sun-drenched vegetable ragouts and Tuscan toppings, you have a marriage made in heaven.

In this class we will make fresh pasta Tuscan style, and some yummy accompanying sauces. A perfect way to see out the season's warmth with beautiful ripe vegetables.

In this class you will learn a variety of techniques for preserving summer and autumn produce, from confit through to pickling, brining and jam making.  Bunker down and stock up for winter in this fun and informative class.
